See you on the Bowery!

I’m thrilled to be back in NYC and honored to have two of my pieces included in the upcoming exhibit at Bowery Gallery! Particularly because Joan Snyder was the juror and she’s a painter whose work I’ve admired for a long time. If you’re free it would be great to see you at the reception!

Classy photos to follow to punish those of you who aren’t able to attend…

Opening reception: Thurs, Aug 1st from 5:00-8:00pm
Bowery Gallery: 530 West 25th St, 4th Floor, New York, NY, 10001

Attending Openings via Photoshop

At first I wasn’t sure whether it was inappropriate to photoshop myself into to opening photos for exhibits that I wasn’t able to attend but then I realized that hey, when an artist has taken the time to stuff her her tube top and put on a belly necklace of course it’s appropriate.  Wildly appropriate.

And look, here I am at the Field Projects opening!  And there on the right you can catch a glimpse of my painting “Headdress by McQueen.”

Thanks to all who were actually able to attend, I heard it was a great opening.

And many thanks to Field Projects for adding actual opening photos here.

“Headdress by McQueen” on display at Field Projects

Hello all! I’m delighted to have work included in Field Projects’ upcoming curated exhibition “Trust In Me.” The included piece is titled “Headdress by McQueen” – it is one of my favorites from my new body of work “(Fixed Value : Haute) White Collar Goes Black.”

The exhibit will be on display at Field Projects from June 23rd – July 27th. Opening reception Thursday, June 13th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Hope you can make it – send me the full spy report if you do… I’ll be hitting NYC at the end of July so sadly will only be able to catch the end of the show.
